ซูไบดา โมเซ็น

ซูไบดา โมเซ็น เป็นผู้จัดการอาวุโส หน่วยพัฒนาบริการห้องสมุด ฝ่ายการบริการห้องสมุดสาธารณะของคณะกรรมการหอสมุดแห่งชาติสิงคโปร์ หน้าที่นี้เองทำให้เธอมีโอกาสได้รับผิดชอบโครงการการเรียนรู้ปฐมวัย ซึ่งเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของนโยบาย “นักอ่านตลอดชีวิต” ภายใต้แผนงาน “ห้องสมุด 2020” รวมทั้งดูแลการพัฒนาบริการใหม่ๆ เพื่อเด็กและเยาวชน ซูไบดาได้สร้างทีมงานในการทำงานร่วมกับชุมชน โดยเฉพาะกลุ่มพ่อแม่ ผู้ปกครองและครูผู้มีความสำคัญอย่างยิ่งต่อพัฒนาการของเด็ก ซูไบดาเข้าร่วมงานกับคณะกรรมการหอสมุดแห่งชาติสิงคโปร์ ตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2534 และผ่านงานด้านบรรณารักษ์ในหลากหลายมิติไม่ว่าจะเป็นในด้านงานบริหารจัดการและการทำโครงการต่างๆ ซูไบดาเป็นหัวเรี่ยวหัวแรงในการก่อตั้งฝ่ายบริการห้องสมุดเด็ก ที่ห้องสมุดท้องถิ่นวู้ดแลนด์ ในปี พ.ศ. 2544 และทำงานเป็นหัวหน้าทีมงานพัฒนาฝ่ายบริการห้องสมุดท้องถิ่นในอีก 4 พื้นที่ของสิงคโปร์ในช่วงระหว่างปี พ.ศ. 2546- 2554 เธอได้จัดการพัฒนาและอบรมให้ความรู้เกี่ยวกับงานด้านบรรณารักษ์เยาวชนมากมาย ที่น่าสนใจคือการผลิตหนังสือเรื่องเล่าจากบรรณารักษ์ รวมทั้ง แผ่นภาพนิทานสัตว์ และแผ่นภาพนิทานวัยเด็ก (พ.ศ. 2548) หนังสือรวมเรื่องเล่า "A Pair of Red Clogs" (พ.ศ. 2549) และ "The Tale of the Missing Tale" (พ.ศ. 2550) ซูไบดายังเข้าร่วมเป็นคณะกรรมการตัดสินในการประกวดเล่านิทาน รวมทั้งเป็นหนึ่งในผู้ตัดสินของงานประกวดนิทานรางวัลเฮดวิก อานูอาร์ ในปี พ.ศ. 2554 อีกด้วย ซูไบดา สำเร็จการศึกษาปริญญาตรีด้านประวัติศาสตร์จากมหาวิทยาลัยแห่งชาติสิงคโปร์ และปริญญาโทด้านสารสนเทศจากมหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีนานยาง จากนั้นเธอศึกษาต่อในสาขาการศึกษาปฐมวัย จนได้รับปริญญาโทใบที่สองจากวิทยาลัยวีลล็อค ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา

Ms. Zubaidah Mohsen

Zubaidah Mohsen is a Senior Manager with the Library Service Development unit within the Public Library Services of the National Library Board (NLB). Her duties include the management of the Early Literacy Program, which is part of the Library 2020 Readers For Life Strategy, and overseeing the review and development of new services for children. She also leads the team in working with relevant partners, especially parents and educators, who are important to children’s growth. She has been with the National Library Board (NLB) since 1991, focusing on the different aspects of librarianship, managerial duties and project work. She was instrumental in the setting up of the Children's Services in the Woodlands Regional Library in 2001 and went on to be the Team Leader for four different regions between 2003 and 2011. Zubaidah participates in developing and conducting relevant courses for Children’s Librarians. She has also undertaken the production of original stories by librarians including the Kamishibai cards of Animal Stories and Childhood Stories (2005) and the compilation of stories under the titles A Pair of Red Clogs (2006) and The Tale of the Missing Tail (2007). She has been a panel member in the judging of storytelling competitions and was appointed as one of the judges for the inaugural Hedwig Anuar Award, 2011. Zubaidah holds a B.A (Hons) Degree in History from the National University of Singapore, a Masters of Science Degree in Information Studies from the Nanyang Technological University and a Masters of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education from the Wheelock College, USA.
